About the Project
Learn more about the development of SafeSpaces! Our focus will be on creating a comprehensive Methodology in a digital format. This Methodology aims to outline the implementation process for (youth) migrant centres, focusing on specific areas and activities to facilitate the successful integration of unaccompanied migrant minors into hosting countries.
SafeSpaces refers to those centres capable of implementing these activities with the support of trained youth social workers. Key areas of intervention include youth work and social work, assessment procedures, prevention strategies, intervention methods, holistic approaches, ecological perspectives, and an integrated overview incorporating Training Modules developed through our Training Program.
Objectives
Objective 1
Raise awareness about the importance of recognising refugee, migrant and displaced children as children first with rights to protection, development and participation and increase collective action to ensure effective access to essential services for all uprooted children and families regardless of status.
Objective 2
Empower refugee, migrant and displaced youth to unleash their talents and realize their full potential.
Objective 3
Protect refugee, migrant and displaced children from discrimination and xenophobia by advocating for an end of harmful border management practices and child immigration detention.
